About the role
The Precision Maintenance Tech role at Weyerhaeuser's Wood Products manufacturing facility in Magnolia, MS is seeking a highly skilled individual to maintain and optimize high-tech equipment and operations. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $46.00 per hour with a $1,000.00 hiring bonus.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot complex industrial equipment using precision measuring tools and advanced alignment techniques.
- Fabricate and repair machine parts, including welding, grinding, and turning.
- Manage hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, compressors, couplings, bearings, and seals.
- Analyze and resolve vibration issues related to rotating equipment.
- Install and maintain heavy machinery using rigging and hoisting techniques.
- Perform preventive maintenance and align machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Requirements
- Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent industrial training.
- NCCER Level 4 curriculum or equivalent program.
- Blueprint and schematic reading for complex industrial equipment.
- Advanced alignment techniques (prealignment, shim fabrication, dial indicator alignment).
- Experience with precision measurement, complex alignment techniques, and advanced mechanical systems.
- 10+ years of experience in a millwright or industrial maintenance role.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their repair.
- Precision mechanical rebuild experience.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and assembly.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting of complex mechanical issues.
- Time management and ability to work independently or in teams.
- Communication skills for safety and technical coordination.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call.
Skills
- Blueprint & schematic reading for complex industrial equipment.
- Precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, laser alignment systems).
- Advanced alignment techniques (prealignment, shim fabrication, dial indicator alignment).
- Fabrication & repair of machine parts, including welding, grinding, and turning.
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems knowledge (pumps, compressors, couplings, bearings, seals).
- Vibration analysis and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
- Rigging & hoisting for heavy machinery installation and maintenance.

Pay
$46.00 per hour with a $1,000.00 hiring bonus. The first $500.00 installment will be paid after 90 days of successful employment with Weyerhaeuser, and another $500.00 installment at 6 months.
