About the Role

The Precision Assembler will prepare assembly work and documentation, assemble a variety of equipment and tools, and perform test requirements. This role also involves disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembly during repair processes. You will have access to modern materials and tools to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required.
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of inspection equipment and their functions to ensure all parts and assemblies meet specifications.
  • Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed properly, following all procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal safety equipment.
  • Operate precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, vernier, CMM) and hand tools (e.g., hydraulic torque wrench, fire torch) in a warehouse environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
  • Apply a sharp eye for detail and a results-oriented approach.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations, including rate, ratio, percent, and unit conversions.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) activities and comply with all Flowserve policies and procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and communicate clearly with peers, supervisors, and customers.
  • Maintain a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality workmanship.
  • Use basic computer systems for data entry and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Work overtime and weekends as required on short notice.
  • Promote team building and continuous improvement.
  • Stand for long periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED and/or 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints and safety rules.
  • Basic computer aptitude for data entry and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends on short notice.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills

  • Workshop experience.
  • Knowledge of automation control and electrical components.
  • Experience as a mechanic for rotating machines, mechanical devices, or general mechanical work.
  • General certificate of education or vocational training.
