About the role
The Preceptor MedSurg RN position at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital offers an opportunity for a registered nurse to mentor and guide students or new nurses in the MedSurg unit. The program runs from August 26, 2024, to November 30, 2024.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and guide students or new nurses in the MedSurg unit.
- Provide clinical instruction and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Assist in patient care, including but not limited to medication administration, patient assessment, and documentation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Vermont.
- At least one year of experience in MedSurg nursing.
- Experience in teaching or mentoring others in a healthcare setting.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for education and patient care.
