Responsibilities

  • Performs precast plant inspections as directed by clients.
  • Travels to various construction sites, primarily in the Midwest, with the possibility of overnight and weekend assignments.
  • Relays information to project managers and engineers, with limited in-field decision-making.
  • Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically.
  • Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and supports other departments as needed.
  • Follows Atlas' safety plans, programs, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Willingness to travel for longer durations.
  • Experience with PCI Level II certification, developing tensioning calculations, monitoring stressing operations, inspecting prestressing materials, measuring elongations, and assisting with welding operations.

Qualifications

  • PCI 2 Precast Plant Inspector certification.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to learn and operate specialty equipment.

Skills

  • PCI Level II Quality Control Technician/Inspector Certification.
  • Experience with developing tensioning calculations.
  • Monitoring and documenting stressing operations.
  • Inspecting prestressing materials and measuring elongations.
  • Assisting with welding operations.

Pay

The expected salary range for the position is $40.00 - $50.00 hourly rate. Final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
