Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
- Manage the design and drafting of several projects at a time, either with internal resources or utilizing outside resources.
- Generate designs and drawings for the precast concrete system from construction documents consisting of architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
- Interface with sales, estimating, project management, and operations, as well as the customer (general contractor and architect/engineer) to accomplish the task of engineering package generation, submittal and approval, then supplying the plant with details and information for fabrication and erection with plans and information for construction and for resolving any questions, conflicts or issues in these areas as they may arise.
- Provides sales support as assigned by Engineering Manager.
- Ensure field observations on projects are performed. This will include writing Observation Reports along with development and tracking of field repairs.
- May lead two to four designers and one or two entry-level engineers on a project by project basis.
- Check the work of the Graduate Engineer and Associate engineer on a project-by-project basis.
Job Specifications Or Qualifications
- Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Registration as a PE is required.
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Experience: 4 (+) years of related experience, with at least 2(+) years in a related industry is preferred.
