About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and implementing all nursing care services for pre- or post-surgical patients in accordance with accepted standards of care. The RN ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, AAAHC, and all federal and state standards of care. This role provides care for patients aged 16 to 80 years old.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, organize, and coordinate nursing care services for pre- or post-surgical patients.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe patient care in compliance with professional nursing standards, AAAHC, and federal/state regulations.
- Make decisions based on nursing judgment and prioritize/organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
- At least 1 year of experience as an RN in a hospital Medical/Surgical or ICU unit.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification preferred or included in an education plan.
