PRE-OP/PACU RN Full Time

About the Role

As a Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse at Des Peres Square Surgery Center, you will plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement all nursing care services for pre- or post-surgical patients in accordance with accepted standards of care. You will ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards. This role cares for patients of all ages, from 1 month to geriatric.

Position requires weekdays only — no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings are required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement nursing care services for pre- or post-surgical patients.
  • Ensure high-quality and safe patient care in compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and Federal/State standards.
  • Make decisions based on nursing judgment and prioritize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
  • Provide care for patients ranging from 1 month to geriatric age.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Active RN license in the state.
  • ACLS certification required.
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills to meet patient and unit needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
