Overview
PRE-OP/PACU RNs are an integral part of the surgical team, providing essential nursing care to patients during surgical cases. Their role requires a high level of accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced surgical environment. PRE-OP/PACU RNs are responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care during surgery. Their ability to maintain a professional approach while providing nursing care is critical in ensuring positive patient outcomes while keeping patients and their families informed. Will work directly with surgeons, medical/surgical staff and post-acute caregivers to create comprehensive patient care from pre- to post-op.

Responsibilities
- EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- - Current Florida Nursing License
- - Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
- - Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU
- - Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
- - Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
- - Ability to care for patients with changing medical priorities and ability to respond accordingly
- - Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors
- - Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- - Excellent teaching skills
- - Excellent communication and organizational skills
- - Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior
- - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees. (TEAMWORK)
- - Strong customer service skills
- - Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and be receptive to change
- - Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
Required Skills:

Required Experience:
