About This Role

Join Butterfly Academy in Harker Heights, TX as a Pre-Kindergarten Three Teacher working with Preschool (3–5). The role calls for a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred and offers $13 – $15/Hr to qualified childcare professionals.

What You'll Do

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that support learning through play.
• Foster children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development.
• Create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social skills.
• Conduct daily classroom routines, including circle time, centers, meals, rest time, and outdoor play.
• Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
• Maintain accurate attendance, incident reports, and other required classroom documentation.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that meets licensing and health regulations.
• Collaborate with administrators and fellow teachers to support program goals and student success.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Auxiliary in classroom preparation, organization, and inventory of educational materials and supplies.
• Follow all state licensing requirements, company policies, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous childcare or early childhood education experience is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• The ability to lift, bend, stand, and actively engage with young children throughout the day is necessary.
• A passion for working with young children and supporting their development is important.

Nice to Have

• A CDA is highly recommended.
• An Early Childhood Degree is beneficial.
• CPR & 1st Aid certification is advantageous.
• A Food Handlers certification is helpful.
