Pre-Kindergarten Instructor

About the role

This position is a classified position announced to all qualified applicants. The position is centered around assessing children's needs and skills, setting goals with parents, and preparing learning activities.

Responsibilities

• Assess each child's needs and skills under the direction of the Head Start Coordinator.
• Work with parents to set goals for each child.
• Prepare and present learning activities addressing those goals, encouraging creativity, and teaching basic skills.
• Teach various programs including Pre-School, Head Start, Early Head Start, EHS Home Visitor's, and PATT.
• Some programs operate in the evenings.

Requirements

• One year experience working with young children.
• Education required: AA in Early Childhood, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
