About the role

Union Elementary is seeking a dynamic team player to join their small but mighty team as their pre-kindergarten education technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pre Kindergarten teacher in creating a developmentally appropriate play-based and rigorous program with a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
• Aid in establishing effective rapport with students and their families.
• Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for a solid foundation for elementary school.
• Establish good relationships with other staff members.
• Assist in planning and assessing daily classroom activities.
• Communicate effectively with children and adults from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds.
• Maintain the confidentiality of families, staff, and program.
• Aid in establishing and maintaining standards of student behavior that lead to an effective learning atmosphere.
• Assist in providing individualized and small group instruction to meet the academic, functional, and developmental needs of each child.
