Pre K Ed Tech II

About the role

The Kittery School District is currently seeking a full-time Pre K Ed Tech II at Mitchell School. The ideal candidate will have experience working with early childhood students (Pre K-3).

Responsibilities

• Assisting and supporting classroom teachers in creating a warm and caring environment for young children.
• Implementing a researched-based preschool curriculum.
• Administering developmentally appropriate activities for students.
• Keeping confidential and accurate student records.
• Supervising indoor and outdoor activities.
• Collaborating with other professionals and accepting feedback from classroom teachers.
• Interacting with children in a warm, nurturing way to ensure a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
• Helping to move the Kittery School District Vision 2030 forward.

Requirements

• Ed Tech II certification (or certifiable in the State of Maine).
• Criminal History Record Check through the Maine Department of Education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with early childhood students (Pre K-3).
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other professionals.
• Warm and nurturing interaction with children.
• Knowledge of and commitment to the Kittery School District Vision 2030.
