Pre K Teacher - Union Elementary School

About the role

Ability to create a developmentally appropriate play based, pre-kindergarten program with a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth, establish effective rapport with students and their families, motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed for a solid foundation for elementary school, and establish good relationships with other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assess daily classroom activities
• Communicate effectively with children and adults from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds
• Maintain the confidentiality of families, staff and program
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior that lead to an effective learning atmosphere
• Provide individualized and small group instruction to meet the academic, functional and developmental needs of each child
