Pre-K Teacher

Position Overview

This role involves co-teaching in a Pre-K classroom, fostering a love for learning through engaging, intentional, and playful environments. The teacher collaboratively plans and delivers instruction in literacy, math, science, and social studies, while supporting social-emotional development and classroom culture.

Responsibilities

• Instruction: Co-create a joyful classroom that promotes mastery, exploration, and purposeful play. Facilitate small groups and centers to support diverse learning needs.
• Data Analysis: Regularly review student work and assessments to differentiate instruction and track progress.
• Classroom & School Culture: Implement instructional models, foster positive relationships, support social-emotional growth, and maintain a safe, structured environment. Engage in professional development, collaborate with colleagues, and support school operations.
• Family & Community Engagement: Partner with families to support student development and participate in school-wide activities.

• Enthusiasm for working with families and diverse communities.
• Self-motivated learner open to feedback and professional growth.
• Experience or interest in impacting urban K-12 students (1-2 years preferred).
• Background in Elementary Education or related fields; bachelor's degree required.
• Eligibility to obtain New Jersey certification within a reasonable timeframe.

Compensation

Compensation ranges from $56,000 to $80,000, based on experience and credentials.
