About the role
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for participating in a cohesive teaching team, assisting with the coordination of curriculum, and helping to assist in management of the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Structuring and implementing lesson plans to ensure developmentally appropriate programming
- Developing and implementing transitional activities
- Maintaining the appropriate child/staff ratio
- Understanding children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Ensuring a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged
Requirements
Clearances paid for by CCCDC: State Police, Child Abuse and Fingerprints/FBI. Nine (9) month position (follows the Northern Cambria School District schedule).
