Pre-k Childcare Lead – Before & After School

Do you love working with kids? We are hiring a Pre-K Childcare Lead for our Before and After School Programs for the 2026–2027 school year at locations in Chappaqua, NY: Grafflin Elementary School and Roaring Brook Elementary School.

Pay

$20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule

Follows the school calendar

• Morning Program: 7:30 - 9:00 am
• Afternoon Program: 2:55 - 5:15 pm

Opportunities available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Responsibilities

What success looks like in this role:

• Program Quality: Kids are engaged, safe, and having fun every day; the program reflects Healthy Kids Program’s model and families consistently choose to re-enroll
• Staffing: The site is fully staffed every day; teachers are prepared, supported, and showing up for the kids
• Compliance: The site operates in ratio at all times; records are accurate and current; the program is ready for inspection on any given day
• Inventory: The site is well-stocked with the supplies and materials teachers need; nothing runs out mid-week; restocking happens before it becomes a problem

Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience criteria:

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field
• Child Development Associate Credential or another Office-recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period (with 1 year of experience)
• 9 Credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field with a plan of study leading to an Associate's or other Office-recognized credential (with 2 years of experience)

Qualifications

• Must be medically cleared to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB)
• Demonstrates a positive, friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with children, parents, and team members
• Dependable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance
• Able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, and meet the physical demands of working with children
