Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Woestina Elementary School in Rotterdam Junction, NY for the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, as well as homework completion
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day

Pay

$16.00 per hour

Schedule

Follows the school calendar

• Morning Program: 7:00 – 8:30 am
• Afternoon Program: 1:45 – 5:00 pm
