Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Pre-K Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Arlington Central School District for the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies
  • Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13
  • Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day

Pay and schedule

  • Pay rate: $16.00 per hour
  • Schedule follows the school calendar: Morning program 7:00–9:15 am; Afternoon program 2:15–5:00 pm
  • Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs
  • Job status: Part-time, non-exempt
