About the role

The Pre-Health Resource Center at the University of Pittsburgh seeks a pre-health advisor to serve as an academic liaison for students. This role supports students in identifying academic and career goals, selecting appropriate courses, and planning for degree attainment.

Responsibilities

• Advising students about the requirements of health professional schools
• Developing academic and career plans and timelines
• Exploring healthcare careers
• Identifying experiential learning opportunities in clinical, research, and community service areas
• Helping students develop competitive applications for health professional schools through providing feedback on application materials, mock interviews, and consultation throughout the application process

Requirements

Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Level Required: Bachelor's Degree

Skills

Basic advising knowledge, theory, and practical experience.
