Pre-Fold Machine Operator

About the role

As a Pre-Fold Machine Operator in the Paper Space department, you will perform work assigned in the manufacturing department according to process requirements, ensuring safety, productivity, efficiency, and quality in all tasks. This is an hourly non-exempt position reporting to the Manufacturing Manager.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the Blythewood Plant Safety Program and complete all required safety training.
• Operate machinery while monitoring materials, equipment, and methods to ensure quality product manufacturing.
• Follow production specifications and work order schedules to meet product attributes such as width, length, and packaging.
• Perform change-overs, start-ups, and adjustments to maintain quality, production, and safety standards on equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and fixing minor mechanical issues.
• Produce and package products at acceptable rates and required quality levels.
• Use measuring and weighing tools accurately.
• Complete annual training to meet safety rules and OSHA regulations.
• Participate in problem-solving teams as required.
• Perform related tasks as requested by supervisors.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience with basic math, written, and oral communication skills.
• Manufacturing Machine Operator experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
• Understanding of metric measures and volumes.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs, walk, and stand for a significant part of the shift.
• Ability to work in high-humidity and high-temperature environments.
• Willingness to work any shift, including overtime.

Schedule

This position includes training on Monday–Thursday from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, transitioning to a Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift afterward.
