Prime Controls, L.P., established in 2004, is a family-owned Systems Integration and I&C Construction firm dedicated to meeting clients’ industrial automation and control requirements. As a Main Automation Contractor, we offer comprehensive solutions supported by our size, expertise, and extensive experience. With over 1,000 employees, Prime Controls serves customers nationwide from our Dallas, Texas headquarters and offices throughout the United States. Our mission is to deliver the highest quality professional services while prioritizing employee well-being and fostering an exceptional workplace environment.

About the role

Build it right, from the ground up. In our prefabrication shop, you'll help assemble the control panels, wiring, and components that power critical infrastructure across the country. It's hands-on work where craftsmanship matters — you'll follow engineered drawings and work orders to build clean, accurate, high-quality assemblies. Show us what you can do, and there's a permanent seat — and employee ownership — waiting on the other side of 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble panels, wiring harnesses, conduit, and components per work orders and drawings.
  • Measure, cut, label, and mount components accurately.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Follow build instructions and quality standards; flag issues early.
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.

Requirements

  • Assembly, manufacturing, construction, or skilled-trades experience (a plus — we'll train the right person).
  • Comfort with hand and power tools and the ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to read basic drawings/work orders, or the willingness to learn.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.

Pay

$19/hour (1st shift) or $21 + $0.50 differential (2nd shift).

Benefits

  • Temp-to-perm with conversion potential at 90 days.
  • Employee-owned (ESOP) — convert and start building ownership.
  • Health, Dental, and Vision coverage.
  • Flexible Spending Account(s).
  • Generous PTO.
  • Numerous culture events.
  • 401k matching.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Physical requirements and work environment expectations vary by position. Generally, roles at Prime Controls may involve:

  • Moderate noise and occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Work at heights or around airborne particles and electrical components, depending on the role.
  • Physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Use of hands, arms, and voice communication.
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
