Pre-Arranged Funeral Counselor (Outside Sales Representative)

Pay

$85,000 - $125,000 (hourly rate + commission/bonus included), with higher income potential for top performers.

Schedule

Full-Time (Monday - Friday with some weekends as needed).

Location

Heritage Funeral Homes in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a Funeral Director license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience.
• Outside sales experience is strongly preferred.
• Must be licensed or willing to quickly obtain an insurance license—as required by state regulations.
• Valid good standing driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently (strongly preferred but not required).
• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet with families to present pre-need funeral and cremation options.
• Generate new business through leads, referrals, and community outreach.
• Work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Build and maintain trusted, professional relationships with families.
• Represent the company with professionalism, compassion, and integrity.
• Develop community connections through networking, events, and outreach.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth customer experience.
• Participate in training and ongoing development.
• Track activity utilizing company CRM and report results to leadership.
• Complete contracts, paperwork, and payments accurately and on time.
