Pre-Apprentice Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

The Pre-Apprentice Mechanical Maintenance Trainee program at Quad in Lomira provides paid, on-the-job training and experience with advanced manufacturing equipment, including robotics. Upon completion, participants will earn a State of Wisconsin Certificate of Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

- Safety & Operations: Familiarity with OSHA standards, tools, and equipment operation - Mechanical Systems: Understanding of bearings, belts, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, motors - Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Knowledge of system components, troubleshooting, repair - Installation & Setup: Ability to rig, align, and start up equipment - Maintenance: Performing preventive and predictive diagnostics - Machining & Fabrication: Basic use of shop equipment, welding, and metalwork
