Pre-Analytical Assistant I position in Teterboro, NJ. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotational weekends.
Pay
Pay range: $17.65 - $19.36 per hour. Eligible for shift differential of 10% for second shift and 15% for third shift. Annual performance bonus may also be available. Salary offers consider relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market factors.

Responsibilities
- Learn assigned job duties and understand how functions in Tech Ops and Specimen Processing work together to impact Technical departments and result quality
- Identify and resolve problems related to specimen types, missing information, sorting, racking, centrifuging, delivery, and storage; forward information for timely problem resolution
- Understand compliance policies related to test ordering; research test order information using translation tables, computer systems, and the directory of services
- Meet quality and production standards within 6 months of completing training
- Complete all required written documentation legibly and within the assigned time frame
- Report to work on time and follow attendance guidelines; support department performance during coworker absences
- Learn additional functions within Tech Ops and Specimen Processing to progress to the next level
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Preferred: Previous experience in a production environment
- Preferred: Medical background including clinical laboratory medical terminology
- Minimal data entry skills
