About the role
This position provides general support functions within the Technical Operations Department.
Pay
$19.00 - $23.09 per hour. Salary offers consider relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, market factors, and organizational factors. Eligible employees may receive annual performance bonus compensation.
Schedule
Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Responsibilities
- Learn assigned Pre-Analytical Assistant I duties and understand how all functions in Tech Ops and Specimen Processing integrate and impact Technical departments and result quality.
- Identify and resolve (or escalate) issues with specimen types, missing information, sorting, racking, centrifuging, delivery, and storage to support timely problem resolution.
- Develop ability to research test order information using translation tables, computer systems, and the directory of services in compliance with test-ordering policies.
- Meet quality and production standards within 6 months of completing training.
- Complete all required written documentation legibly, clearly, and within assigned time frames.
- Report to work on time and adhere to attendance guidelines; support department performance during coworker absences.
- Learn additional functions within Tech Ops and Specimen Processing to progress to the next level.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Preferred: Previous experience in a production environment
- Preferred: Medical background, including clinical-laboratory medical terminology
