Pre-Analytical Assistant I - 3rd Shift

Pride Health is hiring a Pre-Analytical Assistant I to support specimen processing and laboratory operations in Miramar, FL. This is a 3-month assignment.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Analytical Assistant I to perform essential pre-analytical functions in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment. This role requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Sort, rack, centrifuge, and aliquot laboratory specimens.
• Pick up, transport, deliver, and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Identify issues involving specimen types, missing information, and test-order requirements and assist with timely resolution.
• Follow procedures related to specimen handling, test ordering, compliance, and safety.
• Complete required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with workplace standards.
• Meet quality and productivity expectations following training.
• Support departmental staffing needs, including occasional weekends, holidays, overtime, or on-call assignments as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical or clinical laboratory background preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and specimen types is a plus.

Pay

$17 - $19 hourly

Schedule

Tue - Sat, 2:00 AM - 10:30 AM
