Practicum Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the Practicum Director to manage activities related to practicum vetting, selection, placement, and monitoring.
  • Interprets CSWE policies, procedures and agency expectations to the students and practicum liaisons.
  • Work with students across MSW and BSW programs to secure practicum placements that meet educational and professional standards.
  • Cultivate, maintain and vet agency partnerships that meet CSWE standards.
  • Provide timely support and problem solve concerns between students, the program, and agency partnerships.
  • Monitor grant updates to ensure that students on conditional grants are appropriately placed at agencies that meet their grant requirements.
  • Assist with data management system (Experiential Learning Cloud).

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in clinical and/or macro social work practice or similar field.
  • A commitment to social justice, accessibility justice, and anti-oppressive practice.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience serving as a practicum liaison, supervisor, or advisor.

Preferred Skills

  • A master's degree in social work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited program.

Schedule

Positions designated as hybrid eligible may offer the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule after successful completion of an introductory period of 3-6 months. In these cases, the role typically begins fully on campus to support onboarding and training, with the potential to transition to a hybrid arrangement thereafter. Positions designated as on-site are not eligible for hybrid work and are expected to remain fully on campus. All flexible work arrangements are subject to periodic review and may be modified or discontinued at any time at the university's discretion.
