Practicum Assistant
Job Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the practicum administrator, the student services program coordinator will initiate, organize, complete, and document tasks for the team and will provide assistance to the department. The coordinator will work daily to prepare necessary documentation and will communicate with practicum team, students, and sites to meet needs for individual student practicums and clinical graduation requirements.

The position is part-time and is located within the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of South Carolina. The University of South Carolina is a comprehensive public university system that includes eight institutions and 20 locations throughout South Carolina. Qualifications
- Self starter with familiarity to data base software and standard office software.
- Ability to plan and organize work activities effectively, to prioritize task completion according to specific deadlines and objectives.
- Professional communication skills for different stakeholder groups such as team members, students, and practicum sites.
- Exercise judgement and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Familiarity with data base software and standard office software.
- Ability to plan and organize work activities effectively, to prioritize task completion according to specific deadlines and objectives.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Exercise judgement and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
