About the role

Facilitates growth initiatives for the Bank through business development in the Practice Solutions Industry Vertical. Maintains an outstanding and continuous record of significant revenue generation through new client acquisition and enhanced relationships with existing clients in the Practice Solutions industry. Ensures adherence to required internal control standards, including audit, regulatory, and compliance policies.

Provides support for pre-sales activities such as presentations, bids/proposals, and requests for information. Retains and expands existing relationships to achieve portfolio retention, sales, service, and profitability objectives. Establishes and enhances the Bank’s brand by participating in meaningful and focused business and community engagements.

Participates in industry forums and conferences to stay apprised of industry trends, competitive insights, products, and services. Provides subject matter expertise on market conditions and trends to maintain a high level of environmental awareness. Coordinates cash management, Credit Card, and other product implementation and financial transaction set-up.

Works closely with other areas of the bank, including Premier and Wealth, to make referrals for additional services that assist the client. Ensures consistent personnel training throughout the team. Acts as the daily sales contact for clients on sales-related questions such as product information, pricing, implementation timeframes, and requirements.

Gathers data to advance the sales process and completes all required documentation. Assists the team in pre-sales activities such as pitch preparation, client research, and preparation of prospect and client files for further action. Tracks implementation requests to keep the process on track with timelines.

Tracks internal reports and recommends improvements to sales support materials based on findings and feedback. Compiles pre-call and post-call information packages by accessing internal systems and bank personnel to validate client holdings, pricing, and volumes. Provides research and data gathering to the sales team to facilitate solutions to the client’s/prospect’s business needs.

Assists with sales and service administration and processing to ensure a seamless client experience and to identify and meet opportunities. Maintains current client information on Bank systems/files to ensure client history is accurate and complete. Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO but may have a broader, enterprise-wide focus.

Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules. Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Credit qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills according to established standards.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.

Pay

Salary range: $81,400.00 - $151,800.00. Pay type: Salaried.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on hours worked. For commission roles, the listed salary represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year. Total compensation may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards.
