About the role

This position provides support to the Practice Administrator/Assistant Practice Manager in various administrative tasks related to patient registration, scheduling, referral coordination, and phone management.

Responsibilities

  • Handles patient inquiries and ensures timely and efficient service.
  • Coordinates patient appointments and manages patient flow.
  • Processes registrations and maintains accurate patient records.
  • Manages phone calls and schedules appointments.
  • Supports referral processes and ensures compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Ensures accuracy in medical coding and billing processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Passes annual registration competency exam.
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of medical office operations and medical terminology preferred.

Qualifications

  • Customer service ability to interact with the public, staff, and patients.
  • Experience in medical office operations, including scheduling, registration, electronic medical records, patient flow, billing, coding, charge capture, referrals, authorizations, payer guidelines, compliance, credentials, privileges, regulatory agencies, and the DNV standards.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
