About the role

As Practice Manager of Operations, you’ll serve as a trusted business partner to the Doctor, guiding and supporting the team to deliver outstanding patient care while driving practice growth.

  • Strive toward mastery of the role by completing all PMO training to develop technical, commitment, and leadership skills
  • Develop and pursue annual top 10 business goals and 16 personal development goals (5 technical, 5 commitment, 6 personality)
  • Ensure the goals and priorities of Doctors and teams are achieved through servant leadership
  • Participate in Bell Leadership Training every 18–24 months
  • Support the Doctor-Led, Hygiene-Driven, Operations-focused philosophy through monthly synergy meetings, weekly team meetings, and strong morning huddles
  • Focus and prioritize team efforts to help the Doctor achieve their Top 10 Professional goals
  • Create alignment with the Doctor through daily one-on-ones, morning huddles, and weekly touch points discussing communication, connection, and support
  • Serve as a business partner to the Doctor, collaborating on quarterly and annual financial goals
  • Help the Doctor prioritize, plan, and block schedule for continuing education through Doctor Education and Leadership programs
  • Understand the benefits and metrics of Doctor-Managed Plans (DMP) and help monitor progress
  • Identify and support future team growth by selecting candidates (Business Assistants, Dental Assistants, Hygienists) who are an 80% match for both the position and the practice
  • Partner with Doctors to identify skills needed for open positions and assemble the proper selection team within the practice
  • Successfully onboard new team members through partnerships with recruiting and the support office
  • Support team members in prioritizing and planning their training through Core Essentials and beyond for growth in their roles

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree or 3–5 years of leadership experience in a professional office, hospitality, retail, banking, medical, or similar field
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions and strategies
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Trustworthy; maintain patient confidentiality and team ethics

Preferred Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting
  • 1+ years of experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person once conditions allow) periodically throughout the year (some travel will eventually be involved)

A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions prior to starting employment (not applicable in FL & TN).
