Practice Manager III - TCP Medical Group Clinic

About the role

Texas Children’s Pediatrics is the nation’s largest primary pediatric care network with more than 200 physicians dedicated to the health care needs of infants to teenagers in over 50 locations throughout the greater Houston area. As part of our goal to build a community of healthy children, Texas Children’s Pediatrics Community Cares Program provides trusted, high-quality pediatric medical services for children who otherwise would seek care from emergency centers or possibly go without care or treatment due to low family incomes and/or lack of health insurance.

Responsibilities

• Mainters work flow and ensures adequate coverage of level 3 practice
• Schedules staff based on practice needs and fiscal constraints
• Makes approvals for time off requests to assure adequate coverage
• Requests temporary staff per policy
• Interviews applicants, in conjunction with HR and ADRO/ DRO, to assure that open positions are filled in a timely manner by qualified candidates
• Might partner with Physician Site Leader in daily operations
• Ensures staff compliance with TCP policies and procedures and external regulatory agencies of level 3 practice
• Holds staff accountable for policy and procedure violations, addressing any performance or conduct issues in a timely, consistent manner
• Maintains budget
• Makes reviews of production and ensures proper utilization of appointment templates
• Reviews CBO reports monthly to identify areas for improvement
• Implements plans and re-evaluates for effectiveness

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or Health Science related field required
• Three years formal supervisory experience in healthcare administration, healthcare operations, or practice management required
• High School diploma or GED required
• PRA MANA - Practice Manager from the Practice Management Institute preferred
