Job Summary

The Practice Manager Operations II reports to a Director of Practice Operations and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of one or more medical practices, ensuring a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality patient care environment.

About the Role

  • Ensures a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality patient care environment.
  • Recruits, hires, and oversees the training and orientation for all clinical and clerical staff.
  • Provides ongoing supervision and evaluation of clerical support staff.
  • Oversight of billing and collection functions.
  • Maximizes patient flow and optimizes the work environment.
  • Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, hiring, and oversight of clinical and clerical staff.
  • Tracking monthly clinical and financial statistics.
  • Overseeing billing and collection functions.
  • Maximizing patient flow and optimizing the work environment.
  • Coordinating care for patients and supporting patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy, and behavior change.
  • Maintaining standards set forth by TJC and coordinating QI initiatives within the practice.
  • Maintaining confidentiality in all areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent management/work experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in business management, with strong financial and systems background, and strong marketing experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of physician office practices, managed care operations, and insurance industry structure and products.
  • Practice management/billing experience preferred.
  • Advanced PC skills desired.
