About the role

The Practice Group Analyst supports the financial performance of DLA Piper's practice groups, providing expertise in financial analysis, management reporting, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Develops financial reports and summaries, creates and maintains spreadsheets and analysis, and prepares presentations.
  • Creates reports and analyses highlighting the financial performance of the practice group related to budgets, production, fees, and revenue.
  • Analyzes and communicates with internal stakeholders and international colleagues on various financial topics, including current state and forecasted financial activity at the matter and client level.
  • Leverages firm tools and databases and internal points of contact for thorough research and data collection.
  • Collaborates on projects and implements best practices in project management.
  • Compiles and analyzes progress reports and follows up with lawyers on matter plans requiring modification or communication with clients.
  • Supports the Firm’s strategic initiatives on special projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Preferred experience with PowerBI and previous experience in a law firm or professional services firm.
  • Experience summarizing and deriving answers from large data sets.
