About the role
The Practice Group Analyst supports the financial performance of DLA Piper's practice groups, providing technical expertise in financial analysis, management reporting, and project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Develops financial reports and summaries, creates and maintains spreadsheets and analysis, and prepares presentations.
- Creates reports and analyses highlighting the financial performance of the practice group related to budgets, production, fees, and revenue.
- Analyzes and communicates with internal stakeholders and international colleagues on various financial topics, including current state and forecasted financial activity at the matter and client level.
- Conducts thorough research and data collection to fulfill assignments using firm tools and databases and internal contacts.
- Collaborates on projects and implements best practices in project management.
- Compiles and analyzes progress reports and follows up with lawyers on matter plans requiring modifications or client communications.
- Supports the firm’s strategic initiatives on special projects.

- Preferred experience with PowerBI and previous experience in a law firm or professional services firm.
- Proficient in summarizing and deriving answers from large data sets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, marketing, accounting, or similar type of work.

Pay
$71,743 - $114,074 per year depending on the candidate’s geographic market location.
