About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse E9 provides a full range of nursing care through the application of policies, procedures, standards and protocols, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. They provide total patient care for an assigned group of patients, ensuring their hygiene needs are met, assisting with activities of daily living, and assisting with ambulation as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patients within the LPN scope of practice, training, and competency.
  • Administers medications and treatments.
  • Keeps the Registered Nurse informed of patient condition changes and response to treatment.
  • Works with maximum security prisoners 100% of on-duty time.
  • This role is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
