About the role

We are seeking a creative, results-focused Assistant Account Executive to support our client PR programs through traditional and social media channels. This role plays a key supporting role in executing client PR initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Produce client status reports and briefing materials for meetings
  • Secure client media opportunities in trade, consumer, business media and other outlets
  • Conduct reliable and accurate media research (editorial calendars, speaking opportunities, media/analyst list development) and provide teams with industry-relevant news and research
  • Maintain and monitor clients' social media presence and draft social media posts on behalf of clients (Facebook, Twitter updates, blogger relations, and more)
  • Create strong written documents, including pitches, speaking opportunity abstracts, client communications, etc.
  • Participate actively in client/team meetings, offering creative ideas/solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant business experience
  • 1-2+ years of PR experience working with b2c clients
  • Agency experience a big plus!
  • Strong interest in the tech and consumer fields and desire to work with clients in these industries
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, and team-oriented environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Fast learner with an inquisitive mind and eye for detail

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant business experience
  • At least 1-2 years of PR experience working with b2c clients
  • Experience in an agency setting is preferred
  • Passionate about tech and consumer industries
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Willing to learn quickly and adapt to new situations

Benefits

Matter offers a competitive salary range of $50,000-$55,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

The salary range for this role is $50,000-$55,000 annually.

Schedule

This role is hybrid, requiring in-office work on Mondays through Thursdays and remote work on Fridays.
