Job Summary
MOR PPM Inc. Seeks Safety Advisors all across the Southeast region.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the health and safety of the workers, but also of the jobsite, environment and general public.
- Inspect the jobsites and identify potential hazards, assess the risks and report potential hazards and take appropriate action.
- Investigate incidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.
- Provide guidance and coaching to field employees.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with manager to ensure safety strategies and programs align with corporate expectations and policies.
- Absorb and correct significant safety events, such as serious injury or illness, fatalities, regulatory action, etc.
- Proactively recommend changes to protect workers and educate employees.
- Collect and validate safety records and complete safety audits.
- Administer drug testing.
- Administer basic First Aid.
- Lead safety meetings.
Requirements
- Possess specified certifications, including, but not limited to OSHA 30.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
- Able to maintain and practice workplace safety programs, procedures and policies.
- Good interpersonal, customer service and communication skills with all levels within the organization.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strategize with safety team to support and drive a culture that embraces safety, recognizes hazards and takes action to minimize risk.
- Able to organize and manage multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of cloud based technical programs such as O365 Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience in Industrial Construction and; in combination with at least 1 years experience in a Safety assignment
- OSHA 30 Forklift Trainer
Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting of items weighting a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb stairwells up to 15 levels high.
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders (step, extension, cage) up to 24’ high.
- Able to walk at a normal pace for up to 15 continuous minutes.
- Able to work from a standing position for 8-12 hours.
- Able to twist and bend on a recurring basis.
- Weather conditions that can be expected are wet, humid, heat and cold, bright/dim light, traffic, heights, dusts, and pollen.
- The job requires normal visual acuity, field vision, hearing, speaking, color perception, sense of smell, depth perception, and texture perception.
- Some environments are in a high noise and vibrating area.
