Job Summary

MOR PPM, Inc. seeks a Regional Manager supporting various customers and projects in multiple locations across the state of Virginia.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintains the execution of the PPM safety program and the performance of work by internal staff and external vendors, championing the Safety-First Mentality.
  • Works closely with current and future customers, Project Managers, and support teams to manage and develop Project and Site Managers.
  • Responsible for high-level aspects of cost management, including estimating, budgeting, forecasting, billing, and establishing priorities and assigning resources or capital necessary for successful operations.
  • Uses extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts to properly identify and process scope changes, address issues, and communicate regarding project milestones.
  • Continuously develops relationships to identify and cultivate opportunities, devises new approaches to problems, prepares or modifies drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs, and monitors work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices.
  • Ensures all equipment, tools, and employees assigned to all projects operate in accordance with PPM policy, government regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Supports and communicates all compliance-required programs and ensures project teams are in adherence of such.
  • Provides regular updates of project statuses to executive leadership team.
  • Travels to jobsites on a regular basis to oversee projects.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years’ experience in pulp and paper processing, power, industrial, and/or manufacturing markets managing projects up to $10M.
  • 8-10 years of client relationship and business development experience, including leading the preparation and development of bids with a successful record.
  • Bachelor's/Associate's degree applicable to position. Years of experience may be substituted or combined between college degree, completed apprentice/training program, and years of experience.
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership, process adherence, ownership/commitment, learning agility, and risk management capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker who can establish and manage plans while building and fostering relationships.
  • Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
  • Proficient PC skills: including knowledge of cloud-based Microsoft systems such as OneDrive and Office 365. Experience and knowledge of project management scheduling software is required.
  • Interpersonal skills such as oral, verbal, and written communication and reasoning required.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements

  • This role requires the ability to travel estimated 30% of the time.
  • Must be able to adhere to customer/job site requirements such as moving in and around confined spaces and uneven areas, having full range of motion, adequate hearing and responding to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job-related noises, visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
