Job Summary
MOR PPM Inc. is seeking Plant Mechanics in Aiken, SC. The Plant Mechanic will perform maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment, focusing on continuous improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, fabricating, removing, and replacing components on equipment.
- Diagnose and replace parts using appropriate tools and materials.
- Solve problems by referring to technical publications and drawings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience in industrial maintenance work
- Basic computer and electrical skills
- Complete set of mechanics' tools
- Proficiency in all maintenance and repair areas
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years PM and industrial or commercial repair experience
- 2 to 3 years metal fabrication experience
- Technical school training or degree
- PLC experience
- Welding experience
Physical Demands
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Strength and stamina for technical duties
- Full range of motion and balance
- Ability to move in confined spaces and on uneven areas
- Adequate hearing and response to voice commands and alarms
