Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc. is seeking plant mechanics in Aiken, SC. The Plant Mechanic will perform as a skilled mechanic in the constant improvement of maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Constant improvement, fabrication, and repair of Tire Manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters to external and internal customers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings.
• Have a valid Driver’s License.
• Experienced in industrial maintenance work.
• Ability to work independently.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic electrical skills.
• Have a complete set of a mechanics’ tools appropriate for maintenance and repair (company will provide access to specialized tools).
• Able to demonstrate proficiency in all the above areas.

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years PM and industrial or commercial repair experience.
• 2 to 3 years Metal fabrication experience is a plus.
• Technical school training or degree is a plus.
• PLC experience is a plus.
• Welding experience is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign.
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above.
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas.
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age.
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders.
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises.
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces.

Safety

• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
