About the role

Job Title: Pipe Fitter – Hopewell, VA

Job Summary: Experience with layout, fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, structural steel, vessels, pumps, and equipment in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms in a steam boiler environment.
• Use hand‑welding or flame‑cutting equipment to weld or join metal components, or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
• Work with both stainless steel and carbon steel.
• Take your own measurements and operate power tools accurately.

Qualifications

• At least three years of pipefitter experience in an industrial construction setting.
• Commitment to safety at all times.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screen.

Physical Requirements

• Complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Possess sufficient strength and stamina to perform technical duties and essential functions.
• Move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas.
• Maintain full range of motion appropriate for age.
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders.
• Hear and respond to voice commands, alerts, alarms, and other job‑related noises.
• Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination suitable for work at heights and on uneven surfaces.
• Wear safety/steel‑toe shoes as required.
