About the role

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Executing pipe welding according to welding procedures, specifications, and quality standards
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and procedures
- Measure, cut, and fabricate material according to specifications
- Repair/Install/Replace piping or pipe components according to specifications
- Examine previously installed pipelines and systems for potential defects
- Prepare welding surfaces for a welding operation by cutting and shaping materials using hand and power tools
- Communicate with team, customer, and team leaders on project status and project needs
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts to move pipes or materials
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment and tools
- Adhere to all safety requirements including LOTO, PPE, and other task related safety requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing)
- Have a complete set of tools appropriate for Industrial pipe fitting/welding
- Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
- Perform work at heights
- Perform and pass pipe coupon weld test
- At least 4 years Pipe welding preferably in an industrial setting
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements
- Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically via DocuSign
- May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
- Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
- Must have full range of motion consistent with age
- Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
- Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
- Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
- Safety/Steel toe shoes are required
