About the role

The Pipe Welder will perform welding, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on industrial pipe systems.
• Lay out and fabricate pipe components.
• Assemble and install piping, supports, and fixtures.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment associated with piping systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Possess a complete set of tools appropriate for industrial pipe fitting/welding.
• Ability to stoop, bend, and manipulate tools in small spaces.
• Capability to work at heights.
• Frequent lifting or moving of objects up to 10 lb; occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 50 lb.
• Perform and pass a pipe coupon weld test.

Preferred Experience

• At least 4 years of pipe welding experience, preferably in an industrial setting.

• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lb.
• Maintain sufficient strength and stamina to perform technical duties and essential functions.
• Navigate confined spaces and uneven areas.
• Full range of motion consistent with age.
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders.
• Hear and respond to voice commands, alerts, alarms, and job‑related noises.
• Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination suitable for work at heights and on uneven surfaces.
• Wear safety/steel‑toe shoes as required.
