Job Summary

MOR PPM seeks a full-time regular Electrical Superintendent for the Southeast Region. This position reports to the Electrical Manager and requires 50% travel. The total compensation package includes co-sponsored benefit plans, paid time off, a company truck, a signing bonus, and leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with site managers about staffing personnel status and future needs.
  • Coordinate with MOR PPM HR department for recruitment, interviews, testing, and hiring approved candidates.
  • Coordinate personnel changes including placement among other departments, promotions, performance reviews, safety adherence, leaves of absence, and terminations.
  • Assess the scope of work and assist your team in meeting client needs.
  • Estimate and manage construction and/or maintenance projects; create bid documents including work scopes and proposal forms.
  • To bid and procure all work using appropriate systems for contract document management, submittals, RFI's, pay applications, and other contract administration tasks.
  • Schedule and coordinate construction with the owner's ongoing operations to comply with contract standards for schedule, systems commissioning, project closeout, quality, and safety.
  • Oversee and support the processing of weekly labor payroll and ensure accuracy of all data.
  • Conduct new hire safety video training and periodic safety audits within the department.
  • Respond and investigate all vehicle/equipment, personal incidents/injuries according to MOR PPM Safety department procedures.
  • Communicate and report to the MOR PPM Regional Manager weekly and immediately for all incidents.

Requirements

  • 4 years as a JM Level Electrician Required
  • At least 2 years of Foreman/GF experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in walking down jobs and preparing estimates
  • Experience tracking cost and construction data using Excel spreadsheets or industry software
  • JM or master’s Electrical License preferred
  • Experience in paper mills, fossil fuel power plants, and/or industrial manufacturing
  • Experience with MS Office software, O365 preferred in Windows, web, and mobile versions
  • Intermediate Excel, Adobe PDR, scanners, and mobile device experience critical
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess ability to work collaboratively and provide high-level customer service
  • Exceptional interpersonal/analytical/organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Able to work nontraditional shifts as required by the client with short notice
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record

  • Able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
  • Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
  • Able to maintain full range of motion and balance while climbing ladders
  • Able to hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job-related noises
  • Able to see, perceive depth, and discriminate colors necessary for working at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Must wear safety/steel toe shoes
