Responsibilities
- Understand, Define and develop system-level architecture for Powertrain -ICE/EV/HEV components
- Create and maintain system specifications and interface requirements.
- Contribute to system architecture/boundary diagrams for powertrain components.
- Manage requirements, including functional requirements, diagnostics, and End of line requirements for thermal (ICE/HEV/EV etc).
- Translate requirements into technical specifications and ensure traceability.
- Deliver Functional Requirements including all necessary e-powertrain content and powertrain thermal content.
- Work closely with hardware, software, and vehicle integration teams.
- Create detailed documentation for all functions and interfaces within an end-to-end vehicle architecture.
Requirements
- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in automotive systems engineering or powertrain development (ICE/EV/HEV).
- Knowledge of functional safety and vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN).
- Familiar with Doors tool (DNG, Doors).
- Knowledge about regulations, Homologation, Test log readings and analysis.
- Issue resolution capabilities.
- Experience in automotive systems engineering and powertrain development (ICE/EV/HEV).
- Knowledge of functional safety and vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN).
- Experience of system level DFMEA.
- Issue resolution capabilities and dealing with testing / validation team.
- Knowledge about INCOSE guideline for requirements writing.
- Experience of combustion systems and components.
- Knowledge about emission regulations.
