About the role
The Maintenance Engineer supports the day-to-day operation of facility systems and equipment at Glendive Medical Center, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance on facility equipment
- Maintain boiler systems, heating systems, and HVAC equipment
- Monitor and service emergency generators and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and operational issues
- Maintain maintenance logs and documentation
- Identify and report safety concerns or equipment issues
- Assist with general facility upkeep and repairs as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Boiler Operator 3rd Class license (State of Montana) required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Technical training or vocational school education preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of building systems and industrial equipment
- Ability to follow safety procedures and regulations
- Effective communication and teamwork
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Comfortable working on ladders and in varying environments
- Work indoors and outdoors
- Frequent walking, bending, and physical activity required
