About the role

Join our team as a Powerhouse Mechanical Operator in Charlotte, NC, where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in a dynamic, on-site environment. Utilize your technical expertise to operate building management systems, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and collaborate closely with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
  • Operate building management systems (Desigo)
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oiling, belt adjustment, cleaning, and greasing
  • Diagnose equipment issues and determine necessary repairs
  • Document work performed and maintenance activities
  • Provide expert advice and detailed inspections to clients and stakeholders

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Specialized HVAC/Plumbing certifications preferred
  • Valid NC/SC licensing preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing maintenance and repair
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills
  • Experience operating building management systems (Desigo) and fire alarm software (Cad-Graphics)
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to clients and team members
  • Ability to follow blueprints, technical instructions, and safety protocols
  • Proficient in diagnosing equipment issues and determining necessary repairs
  • Strong record-keeping skills to document work performed and maintenance activities
  • Capable of performing preventive maintenance tasks such as oiling, belt adjustment, cleaning, and greasing
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and serve as a professional representative of the team

Qualifications
