About the role

The Powered Truck Operator (PTO) plays a crucial role in a multi-shift, multi-site warehouse operation managed by PaperWorks, a leading provider of 100% recycled paperboard and specialized folding cartons.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, shipping, material handling, and order fulfillment
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy in a multi-shift, multi-site warehouse operation
  • Operating battery-operated equipment for loading and unloading trailers, transporting material within the facility, storing and staging material
  • Maintaining neatness and safety of all product storage locations
  • Completing required forms and utilizing bar code readers for inventory accuracy
  • Maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness
  • Operating within policies and procedures, and complying with corporate and regulatory requirements, including Occupational Health and Safety procedures and SafeStart practices
  • Performing and documenting required pre-trip inspections and reporting any deficiencies
  • Establishing, maintaining, and promoting high standards of customer service
  • Ensuring safe operation of equipment through proper use, troubleshooting breakdowns, and managing preventive maintenance and repairs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift certification
  • Minimum of 6 - 12 months' accident-free experience
  • Ability to read and interpret information in various formats
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds

Qualifications
