About the role

Operate electric powered material handling equipment—sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks, pallet stackers—in a high-volume distribution center to load, unload, retrieve, stack, and store products safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules and maintain clean work areas.
  • Operate equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Transport product or supplies to designated areas.
  • Use pallet wrapping machinery, floor scales, RF equipment, automated dock equipment, and utility knives.
  • Perform daily checklists on assigned equipment.
  • Report accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions immediately.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Work daily overtime including weekends when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience operating powered industrial trucks in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Must pass ReaderLink’s Powered Industrial Truck Safety & Certification training course (license valid for three years).
  • Basic computer skills with WMS, RF, and scanning experience.
  • Basic math skills—ability to count, add, and subtract quickly and accurately.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk up to 8–10 hours per day.
  • Repetitively reach up and out.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Work at heights up to 20 ft.
  • Perform repetitive foot movement.

Work Environment

  • High-volume distribution center with exposure to vibrations, dust, and moving machinery.
  • Moderate noise levels (low decibels).
  • Fast-paced team environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, vibration, heat, cold, and moving machinery.
